Three County Fair – Master Plan
BullockSmith’s master plan for the oldest continuous running agricultural fair in the United States was developed for a joint committee made up of members of the fair board, the Northampton business community and the City of Northampton. The design intent is to revitalize the deteriorating infrastructure and buildings and promote the agricultural nature of the facility. The economic intent is to promote the region with self-sustaining year-round events. The master plan identifies a phased replacement of most of the existing structures as well as improvements to the off-site roadway and pedestrian infrastructure. The proposed improvements include an 106,000 SF exhibition building, three 100-stall barns, a 105’x250’ covered ring with seating for 1,000, renovation of an existing arena building, a 1,400-seat grandstand, a 240-stall multipurpose barn, new gateway structures, paved parking, and utility upgrades including 75 RV sites.
