Covenant Presbyterian Church, New Sanctuary

Nashville, Tennessee

BullockSmith designed this Gothic Revival campus situated high on a 22-acre site, completing the vision of the original master plan, created by BullockSmith in the late 1990’s. This new 34,000 SF sanctuary seamlessly ties to existing education and youth spaces, gym, and fellowship hall through an open courtyard and an interior connector. The 1,100-seat sanctuary suits the needs of the congregation’s modern worship style, while preserving the Presbyterian Church’s theological and architectural lineage. Stone arches frame the transepts and line the side aisles where they support 45’ high walls. Vibrant details abound in the millwork, stone, ornamental lighting, and stained glass. The 140’ bell tower is illuminated at night to create a transcendent presence from afar.
