BullockSmith provided master planning and conceptual design for this office and research park. The campus composes five office buildings and housing units (totaling 431,000 SF) utilizing sustainable building and energy technologies designed to obtain LEED certification. All buildings will integrate sunshades and sunscreen structures on their facades, and the three mid-rise buildings will house CoreTech’s headquarters, leasable office space, and classroom and educational offices for local university-shared research. The other notable features include a rooftop waterfall that cascades down stepped terraces, an accessible green-roof garden that follows the gentle slope of the roof to grade, and wind turbines that will supplement energy usage.
