Established in 1999, College Planning & Management magazine’s annual Education Design Showcase has become a respected juried awards program that not only recognizes outstanding architecture for education, but also provides a resource to educators and administrators to see how architects are providing institutional clients with not only innovative but also practical solutions to the issues of planning, design and construction for Higher Education.

Kao Electrical Engineering & Computer Science Building was granted a Project of Distinction Award with the judges commenting on how successfully the project nestled on the difficult site within the historic campus context.
